The Atrium Center's Call for Art 2025
Open to artists residing in Montgomery, Grimes, Harris, Liberty, San Jacinto, Walker, and Waller Counties; the Atrium Center will seek exhibitions and proposals for our 2025-2026 exhibition season. The Call for Art provides emerging artists the resources to realize an exhibition at The Atrium Center.
The exhibitions will be installed in designated areas for 365 days starting in January. The artists will receive exposure through the day-to-day business and events held at the venue throughout the year. The artists’ information will be posted with the art and on our website.
All painting mediums are allowed including watercolor, pastel, oil, acrylic, mixed media, and charcoal, digital art including photography, and outside sculptures. It is preferred that the submitted artwork complements the color palette of the facility, but all entries will be considered. Artists may enter more than once. The selection of artwork for the exhibition is chosen based on the number of entries, technical skill, quality of work, and originality.
Any artist 16 years of age or older can submit one or more entries. All exhibition material must be appropriate for a business setting. Subject matter depicting obscene, sexually explicit, social, political, religious, racially demeaning, or other subjects deemed inappropriate for a business setting will not be accepted.
The selection of art to be displayed will be made by a five-person committee. The director will approve the selection and placement of the artwork, as appropriate for the district to preserve the business decorum and primary use of the Site. The exhibit will be curated by Alton DuLaney.
The deadline to submit artwork is October 31, 2024.
